Paris Olympics 2024: Indian Rowing Schedule as Army Man Balraj Panwar Lone Challenger

Balraj Panwar will be India’s sole representative in rowing at the Paris Olympics 2024, competing in the men’s single sculls event. The rowing events will take place at the Vaires-sur-Marne Nautical Stadium from July 27 to August 3, marking Panwar’s debut appearance at the Olympics.

Panwar, who is part of the Indian Army, secured his place in the Indian contingent by winning a bronze medal at the Asian and Oceanian Rowing Olympic Qualification Regatta held in Chungju, South Korea, in April.

Balraj Panwar first gained widespread recognition at the Asian Games 2023 in Hangzhou, China, where he was initially a reserve in the Indian rowing squad. However, he seized an opportunity to compete in the main event, reaching Final A and finishing just shy of the podium in fourth place.
