NEW DELHI: The BJP-led Mahayuti‘s resounding win in the Maharashtra assembly polls reverberated in Lok Sabha on Monday as PM Narendra Modi was greeted by his party colleagues with chants of “Ek hain to safe hain” and “Jai Shivaji, Jai Bhawani” upon entering the House on the first day of the winter session.
As Modi walked down the aisle, echoes of “Ek hain to safe hain” filled the chamber.The chant, translating into ‘together we are safe”, was BJP‘s battle cry during the campaign, harking to sense of unity and security under Modi’s stewardship.
The chant of “Jai Shivaji, Jai Bhawani”, an invocation of valour and divinity from Maharashtra’s history, reflected BJP’s strategic emphasis on regional pride in state politics. These slogans were more than mere words; they were a political rallying cry and a reaffirmation of the party’s ideological ethos.
