PM Narendra Modi will inaugurate SEMICON India 2024 at the India Expo Mart in Uttar Pradesh’s Greater Noida on September 11.

NOIDA: Noida traffic police have planned diversions due to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the Semicon India Exposition at Expo Mart in Greater Noida on September 11. Restrictions will be placed on goods vehicles around the venue.
Deputy commissioner of police (Traffic), Yamuna Prasad, said that heavy, medium, and light goods vehicles will be restricted on the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway and nearby routes from 7.00 am to 11.00 pm.Essential goods vehicles, such as those transporting milk, vegetables, and medical supplies, are exempted from these restrictions.

“Due to the expected arrival of distinguished guests, heavy goods vehicles (HGV), medium goods vehicles (MGV), and light goods vehicles (LGV) will be restricted on Noida-Greater Noida Expressway and nearby routes from 7.00 am to 11.00 pm. These vehicles would be directed to alternative routes including Chilla border, DND Flyway, and Kalindi Kunj, proceeding to NH 9/24 and then the Eastern Peripheral Expressway,” he said.
Attendees heading to the Expo Mart in Greater Noida will also need to follow these specific guidelines:

  • Those arriving via Noida-Greater Noida Expressway will take the Galgotia Cut to the Expo Mart roundabout and park at NASA parking.
  • The vehicles coming from Surajpur will take the LG Roundabout to Sharda Roundabout and use the large roundabout parking.Vehicles coming from Pari Chowk will head to the LG Roundabout to Sharda Roundabout and park at the NASA parking.
  • In cases where NASA parking is full, alternative parking will be available at KCC, Jubilant, and United College campuses.Post-event, vehicles travelling to Delhi, Noida, and Ghaziabad will be guided to head towards Sharda Roundabout, LG Roundabout, Sakipur Roundabout, Tilpata Roundabout, Kisan Chowk/Dadri to NH-24/09.
  • Those heading to the Eastern Peripheral Expressway will proceed via Sharda Roundabout, LG Roundabout, Pari Chowk, Honda CL Chowk, and Sirsa Roundabout.

Here are the main diversions you need to know:

  • Attendees heading to the Expo Mart in Greater Noida will also need to follow specific guidelines.
  • Traffic going from Chilla Red Light towards Greater Noida via Expressway will be diverted from Sector 14A flyover towards Golchakkar Chowk Sector 15. This traffic will be able to go towards the destination via DSC route.
  • Traffic going from DND towards Greater Noida via Expressway will be diverted towards Rajnigandha Chowk Sector 16. This traffic will be able to go towards the destination via MP-01 route and DSC route.
  • Traffic going from Kalindi border towards Greater Noida via expressway will be diverted towards Sector 37 from Mahamaya flyover. This traffic will be able to go towards the destination via MP-03 route and DSC route.
  • Traffic going from Sector 37 via expressway towards Greater Noida will be diverted to the double service road from Sector 44 roundabout. This traffic will be able to reach its destination via DSC route via double service road.
  • Traffic coming from Agra towards Noida will be able to get down towards Jewar town ahead of Jewar toll and go towards the destination via Sabita underpass via Khurja bypass via Jahangirpur.
  • Traffic going from Parichowk towards Noida via Noida-Greater Noida Expressway will be diverted from Parichowk towards Sujpur. This traffic will be able to reach its destination from Surajpur via Greater Noida West.
  • Traffic going from Surajpur towards Parichowk will be diverted from LG roundabout towards 130 meter road. This traffic will be able to go towards its destination through 130 meter road.
  • Traffic going from P-3 roundabout towards Surajpur/Greater Noida West via Parichowk will be diverted from P-3 roundabout towards Swarn Nagari roundabout. This traffic will be able to go towards its destination through 130 meter road.
  • Traffic coming from Agra to Noida will be able to go towards the destination via double service road from Hindon Cut towards Sector 151.
  • Traffic going from Greater Noida towards Noida via Noida-Greater Noida Expressway will be diverted from Charkha roundabout towards Sector 94. This traffic will be able to reach its destination via Mahamaya flyover via Sector 37.
  • Traffic going from GIP towards DND via Filmcity flyover will be diverted by U-turn below Filmcity flyover. This traffic will be able to go towards the destination through DSC route and elevated route.
  • Traffic going towards Delhi via DND flyover from Rajnigandha side will be diverted from Rajnigandha Chowk. This traffic will be able to go towards the destination from New Ashok Nagar border via DSC route.
  • Traffic going towards Delhi via Sector 14A flyover from Golchakkar Chowk Sector 15 will be diverted from Golchakkar Chowk. This traffic will be able to go towards the destination from New Ashok Nagar border via DSC route.

The police emphasised that no vehicle will be allowed to head towards Expo Mart after the event concludes. For any information, the traffic police have set up a helpline at 9971009001.
The three-day event, organised by SEMI and Messe Muenchen India in collaboration with the Electronic Industries Association of India, will focus on the semiconductor industry, which is crucial for innovations in smartphones, automotive technology, and data storage.
The inaugural edition, taking place from Sept 11 to 13, will be co-hosted with Electronica India and Productronica India.
“To support ongoing technological advances and meet domestic demand, the India Semiconductor Mission, an initiative of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, has attracted industry giants such as Applied Materials and Micron Technology to invest in its chip sector,” read an official statement.
The comprehensive traffic plan aims to ensure smooth movement around Greater Noida during Prime Minister Modi’s visit.
