Preethi Pal wins bronze in women’s T35 100m event at Paris Paralympics | Paris Paralympics News – Times of India

NEW DELHI: India’s Preethi Pal secured a bronze medal in the women’s T35 100m event at the Paralympics in Paris on Friday. The 23-year-old achieved a personal best time of 14.21 seconds, marking India’s inaugural medal in para-athletics at the Paris Paralympics.
The gold and silver medals in the event were claimed by Chinese athletes Zhou Xia and Guo Qianqian, who recorded times of 13.58 and 13.74 seconds, respectively.
The T35 classification is designed for athletes with coordination impairments, including conditions such as hypertonia, ataxia, athetosis, and cerebral palsy.
