Villa took an early lead with a goal by Jhon Duran. Morgan Rogers then extended Villa’s lead in the 65th minute.

The win propelled Aston Villa to fifth place in the league standings, surpassing City.
City now sits provisionally in sixth place and could potentially drop to ninth depending on the weekend’s remaining results.

In the 16th minute, Youri Tielemans delivered a precise through ball to Rogers. Rogers then unselfishly passed to Duran, who scored for Villa.
