BATHINDA: Sukhjit Singh, a 26-year-old AAP-backed sarpanch of Chhana Gulab Singh village in Punjab‘s Barnala district, was killed Sunday night after being attacked with sharp weapons by a group of villagers allegedly supporting drug peddlers.
According to Sukhjit’s father Amarjit Singh, his son had been vocal against drug abuse in the village and had refused to support drug peddlers.
