'Pushpa 2' stampede: 'Injured boy has severe brain damage, may take long time to recover'

HYDERABAD: Hyderabad police commissioner CV Anand said the govt will extend the required medical support to nine-year-old Sri Tej, who was injured in the stampede.
Ananda said the boy suffered severe brain damage and that it might take a long time for him to recover. A team of doctors in KIMS Hospitals is monitoring the boy’s situation, said Anand.
“We directed the hospital to provide all necessary care to the boy, and the govt is also extending all required support,” said health, medical and family welfare secretary Christina Z Chongthu said. On behalf of the govt, Anand along with Chongthu visited the boy in the hospital.
Sri Tej was severely injured, while his mother Revathi died in the stampede that took place at Sandhya theatre on Dec 4 during the special premiere of Allu Arjun-starrer Pushpa 2: The Rule. TNN
