Rajasthan govt schoolteacher shows porn, molests Class V students; arrested | Jaipur News – Times of India

JAIPUR: A 35-year-old teacher of a govt-run school in Niwai area of Rajasthan’s Tonk district was arrested Monday for allegedly showing pornographic content stored on his cell phone to some Class 5 girl students and molesting them.
The state education department suspended the accused teacher and ordered a departmental probe. Niwai Police booked him under relevant sections of Pocso Act and produced him before a court that remanded him in judicial custody.On Sept 10, the accused showed the minor students some obscene videos on his cell phone and even molested the girls, police said.
“The girls reached home and told their parents about the abuse. Fearing social stigma, the parents did not approach police. They finally informed the school principal about the crime last week, who in turn, alerted the local education department officials and cops,” a police officer said.
