Rebellion erupts after disgruntled Congress leaders file independent nominations

JIND: Hours after the official announcement of candidates, many disgruntled Congress leaders filed independent nominations. Pradeep Gill from Jind segment, Veerendra Ghoghadiya and Dilbag Sandeel from Uchana Kalan, Vidya Rani from Narwana (SC) filed independent nominations, signaling a rebellion within the party. Moreover, many other leaders expressed their resentment on social media platforms after they didn’t get party tickets.
Gill, Ghoghadiya, Baljit Redhi, Raghubir Bhardwaj took to social media to express their disappointment, anguish, citing unfair ticket distribution and said that party ignored workers who worked hard but were ignored.
It is conspicuous that all key leaders especially in Julana, Jind and Uchana Kalan segments are upset but they are tight lipped over ticket allocation on seeing the wave in favor of party. Key players are not happy with the nomination of former wrestler Vinesh Phogat who usually refrain her programs.
“I have lots everything while serving Congress party. I had been serving party for past 24 years but now leadership ignored me and fielded former MP Brijendra Singh from Uchana Kalan. Party cheated with honest workers like me who honestly worked hard but didn’t get ticket. I have been shattered emotionally and financially by Congress party after they fielded a leader who just joined fold few time back. However, I will contest independently with blessings of people, said Virender Singh Ghoghadiya who turned rebellion and filed nomination as an independent candidate from Uchana Kalan.
