As far as the match is concerned, the Indian cricket team was bowled out by the Australia attack for a mere 150 runs. Debutant Nitish Kumar Reddy top-scored for India with his 41 off 59 balls. Rishabh Pant hit 37 off 78 balls before being dismissed by Pat Cummins. However, the day was not as bad as it appeared to be early in the morning. India’s stand-in captain Jasprit Bumrah performed superbly with the ball, taking four wickets in 10 overs before the end of play on Day 1. India managed to take seven wickets for 67 runs before the stumps were called by the umpires.
