Rs 2 lakh payout for lack of treatment deaths | India News – Times of India

Bengal govt has decided to pay a compensation of Rs 2 lakh to families of each of the 29 patients “who lost their lives because of lack of treatment owing to ongoing junior doctors’ agitation” even as members of bereaved families appealed to the junior doctors to return to work.
The announcement came a day after attempts to get junior doctors to the negotiation table failed.
