Salman Khan’s father Salim Khan faced yet another threat on Thursday morning, while he was out for his usual morning walk. The veteran writer has filed a complaint with the Bandra Police, wherein it was been revealed that this incident took place at the Bandra promenade in front of the Windemere building.
Salim Khan was reportedly seated on a bench, tired after a walk, when an unidentified scooty driver and a burqa-clad woman passed by.They turned their scooty around and approached Salim Khan and dropped the name of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, stating, “”Should I send Lawrence Bishnoi?”. Jumping into immediate action, considering the sensitivity of the matter, the cops scanned the CCTV footage to nail the accused. A case was also recorded under section Section 353(2), 292, 3(5) BNS.
However, ETimes spoke to a police source, and turns out that the two involved only had intentions of mischief and have been detained, “It was a mischief played by the couple and we have got them in our custody. They have no criminal background. In the past one year, Salman Khan has been facing numerous death threats. In April, two unidentified men on a bike had fired shots outside Salman’s Bandra home. Following this incident, the actor was provided with extra security at his residence, while he moves around with Y-plus security by the Mumbau Police, in addition to his trusted body guard Shera protecting him.
Post the firing incident at his residence, Salman Khan had recorded his statement with the Mumbai Crime Branch. According to PTI, Salman told the cops in the statement that he was awakened by the sound of a bullet striking his balcony. Meanwhile, Arbaaz Khan, who was at his Juhu residence, also said in his statement that he was aware of the threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang directed at Salman.
Arbaaz had also issued a statement slamming reports about the family seeking publicity out of this serious matter. “The recent incident of firing by two unidentified person in a motorcycle at Galaxy apartment the residence of the Salim Khan family is very disturbing and unnerving. Our family has been taken aback by this shocking incident that took place. Unfortunately, some people claiming to be close to our family and pretending to be the spokesperson have been making loose statements to the media saying it’s all a publicity stunt and the family remains unaffected which is not true and these views should not be taken seriously,” the statement by Arbaaz read.
