Following St Lucia Kings maiden CPL title, social media platforms have gone into meltdown. It was a win for which the ‘Kings’ franchise had to wait for 16 years ( IPL and CPL combined). And hence the celebrations were justified. Amid the social media meltdown, it is an old Salman Khan tweet that has now gone viral. It is a 10-year-old tweet from Salman. The mega star of Bollywood had taken to X after a match and posted ‘Zinta’s team won kya?’ Salman posted this after Punjab Kings suffered a three-wicket loss against Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL final. It still remains the only final the Kings reached in IPL. They are yet to clinch an IPL title.

Asked to bat first, the Warriors managed to post 138 for eight in 20 overs. Eventually, that was not good enough for the Kings, who went over the line with 11 balls to spare. Roston Chase, who picked up a crucial wicket and then scored 39* off 22 balls, was the player of the match.
“Happy for the guys, they have been here (Sammy and Co.) for a long time. Think 10 or 15 years they have been waiting for the trophy to come home. Very happy with the bowling effort. At the toss I wasn’t quite sure what to do and I felt like when they posted 138, when we walked off we were positive. I think in both the innings, last 2-3 overs really made the difference,” Faf said after the win.
