The 28th edition of the Sangit Kala Kendra (SKK) Awards focused on celebrating contributions to performing arts. Rajashree Birla, president of SKK, addressed the gathering, recalling the vision of her late husband, Aditya Vikram Birla, who established the organization over 50 years ago.
“Aditya created the Sangit Kala Kendra to ensure life was more than work,” she said, adding that the awards continue to honor his commitment to fostering creativity.
The 28th Sangit Kala Kendra Awards honored Vijaya Mehta, Ipshita Chakraborty, Ajeet Singh Palawat, and Sapan Saran for contributions to cinema and theatre, with performances by Madhuri Dixit, Javed Ali, and Earth Harp. Kumar Mangalam Birla was also present on the occasion.
