Stuart Broad arguably England’s greatest ever bowler after the recently retired James Anderson, has had his legacy as one of the best bowlers in Test Cricket immortalised after Trent Bridge Stadium in Nottingham renamed the Pavilion End in honour of the legendary pacer.
Ahead of England’s second Test against West Indies at Trent Bridge, Stuart Broad unveiled the newest end to mark his legacy at his home county of Nottingham.

Trent Bridge had announced on Wednesday that ahead of the second test against West Indies, the Pavilion End will be renamed as the ‘Stuart Broad End’.
On the morning of the first day at 10:40 AM, Stuart Broad alongside his parents unveiled the special plaque which said ‘Stuart Broad End’.

The Plaque to unveil the Stuart Broad end further honoured the pacer’s legacy as it also marked his test stats saying, “167 tests, 604 wickets, opened by Stuart Broad CBE on 18th July 2024”.

When it was announced that Nottinghamshire County will be renaming the Pavilion End for its hometown great, Stuart Broad reacted that he was absolutely honoured by the gesture.
Stuart Broad took to X and thanked the stadium for its gesture as he wrote, “A huge honour at one of my favourite places in the world”.

Stuart Broad retired from Test Cricket after the conclusion of Ashes back in 2023 and after playing 167 tests and picking up 604 wickets. He retired with a fairytale ending as he picked the final two wickets of Australia in the fourth innings of fifth test of the Ashes series and bowed out ensuring his team managed to draw a memorable series 2-2.
Stuart Broad’s achievements in red ball cricket will forever be etched in history and his partnership with James Anderson will be remembered for generations.
