Team India won in dominant fashion against Zimbabwe as they sealed a series win after thrashing them by a 4-1 lead. It is a team which did not feature the senior players, who have been rested after the T20 World Cup win. After clinching a dominant series win, it was time to felicitate the Best Fielder of the series as the New Indian Cricket Team caps off a solid win against Zimbabwe at Harare Sports Club. In the absence of T Dilip, the tradition was continued in the presence of the NCA Chief and coach for the Zimbabwe series, VVS Laxman.

Team India conduct Best Fielder ceremony after series win vs ZIM, Rinku Singh applauded
Team India, led by Shubman Gill, was seen in a relaxed mood after they secured a 4-1 series lead and completed their series in Harare. After the win, the medal ceremony was conducted, and in the absence of T Dilip, Subhadeep Ghosh led the tradition ahead after the Men in Blue secured a classy win at the final T20I match of the series. Subhadeep shared a video message from the former Team India bowling coach T Dilip and proceeded with the tradition ahead. He asked VVS Laxman to present the medal to the man who made an impact on the pitch after spending time with the team as a travelling substitute in the T20 World Cup.
Southpaw batter Rinku Singh received the medal for his classy and precise fielding throughout the Zimbabwe series. He also made a significant impact with the bat and solidified his position for the positions which have now been left vacant by Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja. Rinku will be a strong contender for being a middle-order man. But his heroics as a fielder and his blazing abilities as a batter could make him a sure-fire selection under coach Gautam Gambhir‘s run.

Speaking about the game, India finished their tour of Zimbabwe with a convincing 42-run victory in the fifth and final Twenty20 International. Sanju Samson‘s skillfully constructed fifty and Mukesh Kumar’s controlled spell helped India win this game to seal the series 4-1. India scored a robust 167 for six thanks in large part to the brilliant 26 (12b) from Shivam Dube and Samson (58, 45b). After that, the Indian bowlers, captained by Washington Sundar (1/7) and Shivam Dube (2/25) did what they had to do: they bowled Zimbabwe out for 125 in 18.3 overs.
