Both Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce hit important career milestones on Sunday. While Taylor wrapped up her iconic Eras tour, touted to be the highest-grossing tour in music history, Kelce became the fastest tight end in league history to record 12,000 career receiving yards.
How Did Taylor Leave A Message For Travis Through Her Song?
Fans noticed that Taylor wore an outfit in the Chiefs’ signature red and gold colors. She also changed the lyrics of her song “Karma” to reference the team and Kelce, as she had done in some of her previous performances. “Karma is the guy on the Chiefs,” Swift sang. As Swifties would know, the original line was “Karma is the guy on the screen,” which was a possible reference to Taylor’s ex boyfriend Joe Alwyn. A fan account captured the moment and shared it online and it drove Swifties wild.
“Taylor really saved the best for last! Karma IS the guy on the Chiefs!” a fan exclaimed.
Another fan chimed in “Karma is the guy on the Chiefs—what a legendary way to end it all!”
Both Taylor and Travis have shown up at each other’s shows and (or) games since they started dating in 2023. Taylor is often a fixture in NFL matches where she usually sits with Travis’s family to cheer on her boyfriend. Travis too has attended Taylor’s concerts across the globe and even made his on-stage debut in London when Taylor performed at Wembley Stadium.
Travis’s fans are currently speculating about the tight end’s future with the NFL. The nine-time Pro Bowler and three-time Super Bowl champion signed a two-year, $34.25 million restructured contract with the Chiefs before the season. Rumours are rife about Kelce’s successor as well and backup tight end Noah Gray who has proved his mettle as a pass catcher could be the go-to pick.
