As per speculations, the fight is targeted for a PPV later in the year. Moreover, McGregor himself has disseminated through social media that he has had a conversation with UFC CEO Dana White and the fight will witness the light of the sun in 2024 itself. Michael Chandler faced criticism from figures such as Chael Sonnen for his prolonged wait. Nevertheless, on his podcast, ‘Good Guy/Bad Guy,’ Chandler himself presented a different perspective. Regarding Chandler’s situation, DC suggested that perhaps the UFC intends for him to bide his time.
The former champ explained, “He is waiting because the organization wants him to wait… He’s waiting, he’s not fighting anybody else, he’s taking his time to try to keep that massive fight together so they go. ‘Okay, that fight’s not happening, we will reward you’.” DC then stated that the reward might be the Islam Makhachev title fight.

When Could Conor McGregor vs Michael Chandler Fight Take Place?
One of MMA’s leading voices in the world, Ariel Helwani, has laid out when the Conor McGregor vs Michael Chandler fight could happen.
