Bangladesh began their chase strongly with openers Zakir Hasan (33) and Shadman Islam (35) sharing a 62-run partnership. Skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto (51 not out from 60 balls, featuring four boundaries and three sixes) anchored the innings.
Ravichandran Ashwin (3/63) and Jasprit Bumrah (1/18) claimed crucial wickets for India.
