‘Travel Well, Sir’: Manu Bhaker Mourns Ratan Tata’s Death, Pens Down An Emotional Post

India lost its beloved son as Ratan Tata (86), Chairman Emeritus of the Tata Group, breathed his last in a Mumbai hospital late Wednesday night. There were speculations about Tata’s deteriorating health, but two days prior to his passing away, Ratan Tata dismissed all the rumours with a social media post. Ratan Tata had written that he was in high spirits and was just undergoing routine check-ups. Tributes have poured in for India’s Ratan from all parts of the country which includes the country’s top athletes as well.

It is with a profound sense of loss that we bid farewell to Mr. Ratan Naval Tata, a truly uncommon leader whose immeasurable contributions have shaped not only the Tata Group but also the very fabric of our nation‘,  said N Chandrasekaran, Chairman, Tata Sons, in a late night statement.

Manu Bhaker Pens Heartfelt Note For Ratan Tata

Innovation, vision and compassion, these were the three qualities of Ratan Tata that made him one of the beloved industrialists of the country. Ratan Tata in many ways worked extensively towards the development and upliftment of sports in India. Just an hour after his passing away, OIympic Gold and Silver medal winner Neeraj Chopra took to social media to express his grief on India’s Ratan passing away.

Now Manu Bhaker, India’s double bronze medal winner at the Paris Olympics has taken to her X (formerly known as Twitter) account and has penned down a heartfelt post for the former chairman of Tata Sons. ‘Ratan Tata Ji, an icon and a legend, leaves behind an extraordinary legacy. An industrialist and philanthropist, he touched countless lives with his vision, compassion, and leadership. Travel well, Sir.’, wrote Bhaker.

Home Minister Amit Shah to attend Ratan Tata’s funeral in Mumbai

Union Home Minister Amit Shah will attend the funeral of industrialist Ratan Tata in Mumbai on Thursday, sources said on Thursday. Shah will pay respects to the mortal remains of Tata on behalf of Government of India, they added. The home minister will visit Mumbai for the funeral as Prime Minister Narendra Modi is leaving for Laos to attend the ASEAN-India and East Asia summits.

In a message, Shah said he was deeply saddened by the demise of the “legendary industrialist and true nationalist“. He said Tata selflessly dedicated his life to the development of the nation. “Every time I met him, his zeal and commitment to the betterment of Bharat and its people amazed me,” he added. The home minister said Tata’s commitment to the welfare of the country and its people led to the blooming of millions of dreams.
