Uncademy CEO 'shares' feel good factor: “Didn’t clear JEE. But got the Coldplay Tickets today…
Unacademy CEO Gaurav Munjal is among the few lucky ones who managed to purchase tickets for the highly-anticipated Coldplay concert. He took to social media to share the news while also humorously comparing the ticket-grabbing feat to the challenge of cracking the tough JEE exam.
In a post shared on X, Mujal wrote: “Didn’t clear JEE. But got the Coldplay tickets today.Feels good.”

Why securing Coldplay concert tickets was a ‘big thing’ for Munjal

Coldplay’s concert announcement in India last week triggered a wave of excitement among fans. Social media platforms were also abuzz with discussions about the upcoming Mumbai show, with fans sharing their enthusiasm and strategising to get tickets.
The overwhelming demand for the tickets to the UK-band’s upcoming show in Mumbai on BookMyShow even caused a temporary crash on the platform which left many fans disappointed. There were instances when social media users shared screenshots of huge waiting queues for the ticket.
The buzz even prompted reminiscing about the band’s chart-topping hits and legendary performances. Munjal’s post added to this excitement.
This marks Coldplay’s return to India after their 2016 performance in Mumbai. The UK band is set to perform three concerts at the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai on 18, and 19, 2025. Following the overwhelming demand, the band later announced a third concert on January 21, 2025. Tickets were priced from Rs 2,500 to Rs 12,500, were sold through BookMyShow.

How users reacted to the post

The Unacademy CEO’s post has already received over a lakh views and several comments since it was uploaded.
“What mantra you used to hack BMS bro? Ticket kaise mila? If you black this and fund us mera pre-seed round hojayega,” an X user Akshay Shah commented with a hint of sarcasm.
Meanwhile, a second user wrote: “Priorities on point! Coldplay won’t do calculus for you, but they’ll definitely keep your spirits high. Rock on, Gaurav.”
