Union health minister JP Nadda seeks report on Tirupati laddu issue, says will take suitable action

NEW DELHI: Union health minister Nadda announced on Friday that he has requested a full report from Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu on the controversy surrounding Tirupati laddus.
Nadda said the central government would review the report and decide on further action.
Chief minister Naidu had earlier alleged that animal fat was used in the production of Tirupati laddus during the previous Jagan Mohan Reddy government.
This claim has sparked a political dispute, with the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) accusing Naidu of making ;heinous allegations’ for political advantage. The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) circulated a lab report to support their claim.
Nadda addressed a press conference about the first 100 days of the Modi government’s third term and said, “I got to know about the issue through social media. I spoke to Chandrababu Naidu today and asked to send the entire report.”
“Once we get the report, it will be examined and suitable action taken,” he added.
