Uttar Pradesh govt on Wednesday removed Dr Narendra Singh Sengar from the post of principal of Maharani Laxmibai Medical College in Jhansi for lapses that led to a fire at neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) ward, in which 10 infants were charred to death on Nov 15. Three others, including junior engineer (electrical) Sanjeet Kumar, NICU ward nursing in-charge Sandhya Rai, and chief superintendent Dr Sunita Rathore, were suspended.
