Expressing his displeasure, the user describes Ola Maps as ‘absolutely trash’ in his post which was shared on August 28.Since then, it has become viral, gaining over 58K views so far. Sumukh Rao @RaoSumukh shared the post.
Ola moved to its in-house app last month. “After Azure exit last month, we’ve now fully exited google maps. We used to spend ₹100 cr a year but we’ve made that 0 this month by moving completely to our in house Ola maps! Check your Ola app and update if needed,” CEO Bhavish Aggarwal said in a post on X then.
Here’s what the X user wrote
Dear @bhash, your “in-house, indigenous, made in India” Ola Maps is absolutely trash. My droplocation was incorrectly mapped on the app so I was dropped off 1.5km away from my destination. And your app offers no help. Copy toh dhang se kar lete bhai
Reacting to the latest post, an X user said “Seems their coders have started using ₹ replacing $,” taking a dig at Aggarwal’s latest keyboard suggestion to replace $ with ₹. “Yesterday i booked a parcel delivery and marked for correct location as on maps the driver is 3kms away from the pickup and calls me i am at the location,” said another user.
“I have raised the same issue with them. Even after 2 weeks i have not been refunded. They are saying the location is correct. But there is no such place at that location. I was dropped 1km away from the actual location,” said another.
