BAREILLY: A newlywed woman was killed when a geyser exploded while she was taking a bath. The woman belonged to Bulandshahr and got married on November 22. Five days after her wedding, she died at her in-laws’ place in Bareilly.
Police arrived at the scene and took the body for an autopsy. They stated that the exact cause of death would be determined after the autopsy report is received.
Deepak Yadav, a resident of Pipalsana Chaudhary village in the Bhojipura police station area of Bareilly, married Damini, the daughter of Suraj Pal from Kale Ka Nagla village in Bulandshahr, on November 22.
On Wednesday, Damini went to the bathroom to bathe as usual, but she did not come out until late at night. Her husband, Deepak, called out to her several times, but Damini neither responded nor opened the bathroom door.
When Damini did not open the door, the entire family became worried. They called out to her repeatedly, but the door remained shut.
Fearing something unfortunate had happened, the family broke down the bathroom door. When the door was broken, everyone was shocked to see Damini unconscious on the floor and the geyser exploded.
The family immediately rushed Damini to the hospital, where doctors declared her dead.
