Venezuela president Nicolas Maduro challenges Elon Musk on national television: Tesla CEO responds, “I …” – Times of India

Elon Musk has accepted Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro’s challenge to fight. The tech billionaire replied to the challenge with a simple “I accept,” on social media platform X (earlier Twitter).
In a recently released video Maduro was seen holding a cellphone and challenging Musk to a fight while accusing him of planning to invade Venezuela with his space rockets.

In a video shared by X user Collin Rugg, Maduro said: “Elon Musk, you are desperate. You went off the rails. Control yourself, or you will fail just like these right-wing-led all-American politicians. Elon Musk, whoever messes with me dries up. Whoever messes with Venezuela dries up, Elon Musk. You want to fight? Let’s have it, Elon Musk. I am ready. I am the son of Bolivar and Chavez. I am not afraid of you, Elon Musk. Let’s go at it, wherever you want, as we say in Caracas in the neighbourhoods. If you want it, I want it, Elon Musk. Just say where.”

The challenge came after Maduro won Venezuela’s presidential election after securing more than 50% of the vote last week. However, the opposition disputed the accuracy of the results.
Following the announcement of the election results, Musk shared videos of Venezuelans dismantling images of Maduro and toppling statues of Hugo Chavez. In the video, Maduro, holding a cell phone, declared war on Musk.
“Social media creates a virtual reality, and who controls the virtual reality? Our new archenemy, the famous Elon Musk,” Maduro replied.

How Elon Musk responded to the challenge

Later on, responding to an X post about the challenge, Musk said, “I accept.”

Comments from social media users also poured in after the news about Musk accepting Maduro’s challenge went out.
“I’m putting my money on Elon. He’s a towering figure and has the mindset of a honey badger,” one user wrote.
Replying to this post, Musk said: “Maduro is a big guy himself and probably knows how to fight, so this would be a real fight. Zuck is a little fella, so that would be a short fight lol.”

Another user on X asked who would win the fight between Maduro and Musk. Responding to this post, Musk said: “If I win, he resigns as dictator of Venezuela. If he wins, I give him a free ride to Mars.”

A third reply from Musk said: “I’m coming for you Maduro! I will carry you to Gitmo on a donkey.”

In a reply to one other post Musk referred to Maduro and said: “He will chicken out.”

Replying to a poll, Musk wrote: “If I win, he resigns as dictator of Venezuela. If he wins, I give him a free ride to Mars.”
