Democratic Presidential nominee Kamala Harris faced an unexpected moment during her rally in Flint, Michigan, on Friday. As she delivered her speech, Harris momentarily faltered and kept repeating “32 days,” referencing the time remaining until the election. Critics quickly seized upon the moment, suggesting it was due to a malfunctioning teleprompter.
In the video, Harris struggled for words, saying, “Remember his number 32 today? We got 32 days until the election.” She continued, “So 32 days, 32 days, Okay.We got some business to do. We got some business to do. All right. 32 day… and we know we will do it, and, and this is gonna be a very tight race until the very end.”
Despite the hiccup, Harris shifted focus back to her message, highlighting the challenges ahead. She said, “This is gonna be a very tight race until the very end. We are the underdog and we know we have some hard work ahead.”
This repetition led to an outpouring of reactions online. One X user commented, “Look at her face when the teleprompter goes out. Like a deer in the headlights.”
Another user remarked, “So once again it proves, unscripted, she’s horrible. It can’t be denied; people need to stop ignoring this.”
At the rally, Harris also targeted former President Donald Trump and his running mate, JD Vance, criticising their record on manufacturing jobs. She labeled Trump “one of the biggest losers of manufacturing jobs in American history,” highlighting what she described as unkept promises that jeopardize Michigan’s auto industry.
Her campaign had previously addressed this issue in a digital ad launched last month, highlighting the significance of manufacturing in the state.
