NEW DELHI: A video capturing a tense encounter between two dogs and two Asiatic lions in Savar kundla area of Gujarat‘s Amreli district has gone viral on social media platforms.
The incident took place late Sunday night.
The CCTV footage shows two lions approaching the gate of a house when they suddenly come face-to-face with the two dogs on the other side of the gate.
What followed was a brief but intense face-off, with the lions slamming against the iron gate that separated them from the dogs.
After a few moments, the lions retreated into nearby bushes, just before a man came out to look over the commotion. In the video, man is seen using a torch to spot the lions in the bushes, but after not finding them, he returned inside and securely locked the gate.
The lions are believed to have strayed from a nearby reserve forest area. There has been no official statement on the incident.
