While speaking at The Grade Cricketer Podcast, Pat Cummins revealed that he has had a conversation with David Warner, where the latter spoke of a possible return to Test Cricket. Cummins then made the amusing comment that the batter enjoys seeing his name appear in headlines in the media. In the end, he declines Davey’s offer, stating that he is retired and that the team is now trying to transition from the previous batch of talent to focus on the next generation of players.
“I did speak to Davey a couple of days ago. I cannot remember if he raised it or I did. He asked, ‘What do you think?’ And I was like,’ Yeah, good luck with Thunder (Sydney Thunder in Big Bash League) this year. I look forward to your comments on Fox.
“I reckon he does not mind seeing himself on the back page. We love Davey, but he is retired. Sorry mate!” he said.

For Australia, the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy will be critical as they aim to win the trophy at home after they failed to do so in the previous edition of the series. On the other hand, the conditions will be hostile for Team India, as the away conditions have often been unforgiving to them. But they withstood the pressure to pick up memorable wins in the past. The Men in Blue are currently struggling against New Zealand, who have a 1-0 lead against them. But they aim to bounce back stronger while they lock horns against their arch-rivals in Australia.
