WWE has confirmed a concerning health update regarding Jey Uso. He recently underwent medical attention following an injury that he sustained after a brutal attack by Drew McIntyre last week. While the nature of his injury was under wraps, the latest episode of Monday Night Raw shared an update on the superstar in the Roman Reigns’ Bloodline faction. Jey’s injury has kept him out of action, and fans have been following updates on his condition, hoping for his full recovery.
New health update on Jey Uso
The December 9 episode of Monday Night Raw revealed the health update on WWE superstar Jey Uso. During the last week’s show of the Red Brand, he was brutally attacked alongside his pal Sami Zayn by Drew McIntyre who made his return to the promotion after Bad Blood.
WWE announcer Joe Tessitore shared that Jey is not medically cleared to make his return to the promotion as of yet.
The Scottish Warrior delivered a vignette segment on the latest episode of the Red Brand addressing his absence since Bad Blood and more. “Hell In A Cell was the most violent match of my 24-year career. And in the end, I succumbed to my blood loss,” McIntyre said of his brutal blood bath in the match in a Hell in a Cell against CM Punk. “I could’ve been at Raw post Bad Blood, against doctors’ orders, I proved time and time again, The Scottish Warrior isn’t just a catchy nickname, it is earned,” he added.
The 2024 edition of Bad Blood ended the long-time rivalry between Punk and McIntyre which dominated the WWE storyline across several PLEs and weekly shows.
McIntyre added, “But I had to go back to Scotland, my family needed me. 2024 should’ve been a career year for Drew McIntyre, but time and time again, I kept getting screwed over at the finish line. While I was at home, the same thought kept creeping through my mind, burning in my head, what if I’m wrong? What if everyone else was right? What if people could truly change? What if my gut was wrong?”
Drew McIntyre explained the reason behind his attack on Jey Uso and Sami Zayn
McIntyre further explained the reason behind his attack on Jey and Zayn sharing that watching the Survivor Series Men’s WarGames match made his blood boil. “And then I turned on Survivor Series, and I saw Roman Reigns standing side by side with CM Punk, and who was by their side? Sami, Jimmy, Jey, with their stupid fingers up in the air,” he said in the promo video.
The Scottish Warrior added, “After everything they’ve known, Roman snaps his fingers, they put their tail in between their legs and they run right by his side. At least CM Punk took a bribe. They all sold out for absolutely nothing. That’s when it was clear, that’s when I knew I had to come back, that’s when I knew I was going to take out Sami Zayn, that’s when I knew I was going to take out Jey Uso. Spending time back at home, I realized that I can’t change the past as much as I wanted to, but I can change the present, and I will change the future.”
