Young Man Hospitalized After Consuming Contaminated Chicken Biryani in Hyderabad | Hyderabad News – Times of India

HYDERABAD: A youngster was admitted to a hospital in Malkajgiri with symptoms including severe vomiting, diarrhoea, and high temperature after he consumed chicken biryani. The 23-year-old dined at a restaurant in Neredmet on Friday and took ill afterwards.
A citizen, Robain Zaccheus, posted on X that a youngster ate chicken biryani from a restaurant in Neredmet on Friday evening, who later experienced severe stomach pain. He urged the GHMC and the commissioner of food safety to take stern action.
“Several such complaints are regularly reported against these local eateries. There is a growing neccessity for large-scale food safety inspections in Malkajgiri,” he posted on X.
A senior food safety official said the department will conduct an inspection at the hotel on Saturday and collect the samples for analysis. “Since it is suspected food poisoning case, we will need to look into the patient’s history and wait for blood tests,” said the official.
