Australia created 113 runs for the loss of 1 wicket at the end of the powerplay in their first T20I match against Scotland. During the match, Australia won the toss and decided to bowl first and put Scotland to be the first one to bat. Scotland in their 20 overs gave Australia a target of 155 after making 154 for the loss of 9 wickets. Australia managed to chase down the target within 9.4 overs as they made 156 for the loss of 3 wickets.

The Scotland Cricket team witnessed a destructive knock by Australian batter Travis Head as Head scored 80 runs off just 25 balls. In his destructive innings, Travis Head hit 12 fours and 5 sixes and had a strike rate of 320. Travis Head was supported in his carnage by Australian captain Mitchell Marsh who scored 39 of 12 balls with a strike rate of 325.
