Palworld just had a massive 1.0 launch on Steam with huge player numbers! To keep the excitement going, developer Pocketpair announced a brand-new game: Palworld Online — a mobile MMO coming to iOS and Android in 2026.
Important Point: This is a separate game from the main Palworld you play on PC/console. Think of it like a cousin — same family, different house!
Pocketpair teamed up with Garena, a mobile game expert from Singapore with 15 years of experience. Garena has worked on huge titles like:
Pocketpair CEO Takura Mizobe said:
"Garena has extensive experience in global publishing, localisation, and live operations for mobile games. We are pleased to work with Garena on the licensed development of Palworld Online and look forward to seeing a new Palworld experience brought to players worldwide."
Important Point: There’s already a Palworld mobile game by Krafton, but this is completely different — new story, new features, MMO focus.
Honest answer: We’ll see!
| Reasons to Be Excited | Reasons to Be Cautious |
|---|---|
| Garena’s proven track record | Mobile MMOs can feel "pay-to-win" |
| Core Palworld gameplay (catching, building) | Main game fans might not want mobile |
| New story & co-op with friends | No info on monetization yet |
| "Seamless open world" sounds ambitious | Different team = different feel |
Pocketpair and Garena are betting there’s an audience for this. We’ll find out when it launches in 2026.
No! It’s a separate mobile game. The main Palworld on PC/console continues getting updates from Pocketpair.
Not at all. It has a new story, so you can jump in fresh. But knowing Pals helps!
Almost certainly — it’s standard for mobile games. But we don’t know what kind (cosmetics? convenience? power?). The main Palworld has zero microtransactions.
Unlikely. Mobile MMOs usually stay on mobile. Cross-platform wasn’t mentioned.
No specific date yet. Just "sometime in 2026." Keep an eye on official channels!
Stay tuned for more updates as we get closer to launch!
