Big New Shopping and Dining Spot Coming to Meridian: The District at Ten Mile
What Is Happening?
If you have driven on Interstate 84 near Ten Mile Road in Meridian lately, you have probably seen a lot of dirt moving. Since May 2024, construction crews have been busy getting the land ready for a huge new project called The District at Ten Mile.
Think of it like a brand-new neighborhood center—but instead of houses, it will have stores, restaurants, offices, and places to work out. The project covers 220 acres (that is about 166 football fields!) and is being built by a well-known local developer named Tommy Ahlquist.
Where Is It?
The District sits on the northwest corner of the Ten Mile Road interchange on I-84. It is right across the street from Ten Mile Crossing (where Scheels is opening) and near The Village at Meridian.

- In-N-Out Burger – The famous California burger joint. They were blocked from another spot on Ten Mile, so they are coming here instead! (Three other Treasure Valley locations exist.)
- Parlor Doughnuts – Idaho debut! Indiana-based "layered doughnuts" plus coffee, vegan, gluten-free, and keto options.
- Kura Sushi – Fun revolving sushi restaurant (plates travel on a conveyor belt). "Coming soon!" per their website.
- Over Easy – Arizona chain serving classic American breakfast, boozy brunch, and casual lunch.
- Birdcall – Fast-casual chicken chain from Denver. Expanding fast (already in AZ, MS, TX).
- Panera Bread – Bakery-café favorites (soups, salads, sandwiches).

- Club Pilates – Pilates studio chain (started in San Diego, 2007). Six Treasure Valley locations already (two in Meridian).
