The automaker’s domestic passenger vehicle wholesales declined by 8%, with 1,43,075 units sold compared to 1,56,114 units in the corresponding month of the previous year.
Additionally, the mini segment, which includes the Alto and S-Presso models, witnessed a decline in sales, with 10,648 units sold last month compared to 12,209 units a year ago.Similarly, the compact car segment, comprising models such as the Baleno, Celerio, Dzire, Ignis, and Swift, saw a 20% decrease in sales, with 58,051 units sold compared to 72,451 units in the same month last year.
However, the utility vehicle segment, which includes the Grand Vitara, Brezza, Ertiga, Invicto, Fronx, and XL6 models, recorded sales of 62,684 units last month, compared to 58,746 units in the previous year. The Eeco model sold 10,985 units last month, a slight decrease from the 11,859 units sold in the same period last year. The light commercial vehicle Super Carry recorded sales of 2,495 units, compared to 2,564 units in the previous year.
On a positive note, MSI reported an increase in exports last month, with 26,003 units exported compared to 24,614 units in the same month last year.
