Singapore-India business roundtable: Captains pledge to double investments in India; praise Modi 3.0 – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended a business roundtable in Singapore where the captains vowed to double their investments in India. The 18 business leaders who attended the meet also praised the policies of Modi 3.0, according to a statement.
Meanwhile, the Singapore companies committed an investment of over Rs 5 lakh crore (around $60 billlion) over the next few years in India.
“PM Modi attended a business roundtable co-hosted by DPM Gan Kim Yong. All 18 key captains of business praised Modi 3.0 and pledged to double their investments in India in the next 3 years. A big endorsement for the Indian growth story,” high commissioner Simon Wong said in a post on X.

PM Modi also announced the setting up of “Invest India” office in Singapore to facilitate the business ties between two nations.
“To further facilitate their collaboration with India, Prime Minister announced the setting up of an INVEST INDIA office in Singapore. He further added that the elevation of India-Singapore ties to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership would give a major thrust to bilateral economic relations,” a government press release said.
Talking about the aviation sector, PM Modi said, “If there is any fastest growing aviation market in the world, it is in India…the entire sky open.”
PM Modi concluded his two-nation visit to Brunei and Singapore on Thursday and departed for India.
