Hatsune Miku—the world-famous virtual singer with turquoise twintails and thousands of songs—is getting her very own Magic: The Gathering Commander deck! This special release comes through Secret Lair, Wizards of the Coast’s premium product line known for gorgeous artwork and unique collectibles.
The deck is called Secret Lair Commander Deck: Hatsune Miku, and it’s ready to play right out of the box. No deck-building required—just open, shuffle, and start playing.
Art Alert: This deck features 14 brand-new borderless cards illustrated by famous Japanese artists, including KEI (Miku’s original character designer), HASSAN, and NAOKI SAITO!

Matthew has been at Wizards for almost 15 years but mostly worked behind the scenes. He recently became the Director of Secret Lair. Fun facts about him:

1. Can I play this deck at my local game store’s Commander night?
Yes! The 100-card deck is fully legal for Commander play. Only the oversized "Miku, Song of the People" display commander isn’t tournament legal—use the regular Trostani card from the deck instead.
2. What if I miss the 24-hour window?

3. Why does shipping take until 2027 for most orders?
They’re printing exactly the number ordered during the 24-hour window. The "immediate shipping" copies are a tiny first print run. The rest get manufactured after the window closes.
4. Are the borderless basic lands tournament legal?
Yes! They’re regular Plains and Forests with new art and foil treatment. Legal in any format where basic lands are allowed.
5. Is this a good deck for beginners?
Absolutely! It’s pre-built, has a clear strategy (creatures + life gain), and the commander’s ability is simple: "Play creatures → gain life." Perfect for learning Commander!
