1Hey there! If you play Fortnite, you might have heard about "Sprites." Think of them like magical little pets you can collect and carry in your backpack. Each one gives you a special power to help you win matches. On July 30, Epic Games added 20 brand-new Sprites in the v41.30 update! That brings the total to 111 Sprites you can collect.
Imagine you have a tiny helper that sits in your inventory. When you hold it, you get a cool ability—like seeing enemies through walls, healing faster, or finding better loot. Some Sprites are common, but others are super rare (like shiny Pokémon cards). You find them in special chests or by exploring the map.
Here’s every new Sprite added on July 30, plus exactly where to find each one.

Important: Relic Chests and Sprite Chests are special glowing chests you find around the map. "Mastery" means leveling up your Sprite collection by using them in matches.
Even though 20 Sprites were added, many are just fancy variants (different colors/styles) of existing ones. Only 5 brand-new powers came with this update. Here’s what they do:
"Knocking players reveals others nearby."
- When you knock down an enemy, nearby enemies get marked (highlighted) for your team.
- Mark duration grows as you level up: 3s → 3.5s → 4s → 4.5s → 5s.
"Regenerate health when low + gain Cloak & low gravity!"
- When your health gets low, you heal over time AND become invisible (Cloak) with floaty jumps.
- Healing amount increases: 60 → 70 → 80 → 90 → 100 HP.
"Opening ammo boxes might upgrade your weapon."
- Every time you open an ammo box, there’s a chance your gun gets a rarity upgrade (e.g., Gray → Green).
- Chance increases: 5% → 10% → 15% → 17% → 20%.
"Pings rare Sprites nearby, BUT marks YOU on the map."
- Sends out a ping showing where other players with rare Sprites are.
- Trade-off: You show up on the enemy map while it’s active.
- Ping radius grows: 40m → 50m → 60m → 70m → 80m.
"Shares XP with your other Sprites."
- Whenever this Sprite earns XP, all other Sprites in your inventory get 50% of that XP.
- Great for leveling up your whole collection faster!
Big News: You don’t need luck to get the Quack Zero Point Sprite—it’s a guaranteed reward!
Callout: This is the ONLY way to get this Sprite right now. No chests, no map hunting—just grind those Mastery levels!
Even though all 20 are in the game files, Epic sometimes holds back certain Sprites for:
Good news: As of now, it looks like all 20 are collectible. But if you can’t find one, check back in a week or two!
Relic Chests are larger, gold-glowing chests usually found in named locations. Sprite Chests are smaller, blue-glowing chests often hidden in caves or corners. Both give Sprites, but different ones!
Nope! All 20 Sprites (including the Quack Zero Point at Mastery 55) are free for everyone. No Battle Pass required.
You can carry multiple Sprites in your inventory, but you can only hold/activate ONE at a time. Swap them in the inventory menu (default: I on PC, Up on D-pad for consoles).
Using a Sprite in matches earns it Mastery XP. When it hits max level, it’s "Mastered." You need 55 Mastered Sprites for the Quack Zero Point reward.
Mostly yes—they share the same power as the base version (e.g., all Llama Sprites give the ammo-box upgrade). But they look awesome and count separately for your collection!
Final Tip: Grab a squad, mark Relic/Sprite Chest locations on the map, and go Sprite hunting together. You’ll level up faster and have more fun!
Happy collecting, and may your chests always glow gold!
