Big Brother’s 24/7 Feeds Invade YouTube — But Not 24/7

Big Brother Season 28: Live Feeds on YouTube Explained Simply

What’s the Big News?

Imagine a TV show where people live together in a house and cameras film them all day and night. That show is called Big Brother. Normally, if you wanted to watch those constant cameras (called "24/7 live feeds"), you needed a paid service. But this year — Season 28 — for the first time ever, those live feeds will also be on YouTube!

But hold on: they won’t be on YouTube all day every day. We’ll explain.

Where and When to Watch the Live Feeds

The cameras go live on Friday, July 10 at 9 p.m. Eastern Time (or 6 p.m. Pacific Time). Here’s where you can watch:

  • Paramount+: A paid streaming app (like a video store on the internet). The full 24/7 feeds are here.
  • Pluto: A free streaming service (it shows ads but costs $0). It’s also called a "FAST service" (Free Ad-supported Streaming TV). The full feeds are here too, and it’s free!
  • YouTube (Big Brother channel): The feeds will also appear here at the same time, but only for "limited periods" after each TV episode during the summer. That means not all day — just some chunks of time. Paramount hasn’t told us exactly how long those chunks are yet.

Important: Pluto is free, so if you want to watch the houseguests all the time without paying, use Pluto. YouTube will only have short windows, and we don’t know how short yet.

The Cast Reveal: "Broveal"

Before the show begins, we meet the players. This happens live on YouTube.

  • The Season 28 cast will be shown live on YouTube at noon Eastern (9 a.m. Pacific) today (the day this news was published).
  • Paramount and CBS are calling this the inaugural (first-ever) "Big Brother: Broveal" — a fun mix of "Brother" and "Reveal."
  • In that live stream, host Julie Chen Moonves will open the door to the "Big Brother: Time Trip"–themed house (a house decorated like a time travel adventure).
  • The waiting room for the YouTube livestream is already open.

Opening Weekend Schedule (Step by Step)

Want to follow the very first days? Here’s the order:

  1. Thursday, July 9 at 8 p.m. ET/PT: A 90-minute premiere episode of Big Brother Season 28 airs on TV.
  2. Friday, July 10 at 8 p.m. ET/PT: A one-hour show called Big Brother: Unlocked airs.
  3. Friday, July 10 at 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT: Right after that, the 24/7 live feeds go live on Paramount+, Pluto, and YouTube (limited on YouTube).
  4. Sunday at 8 p.m. ET/PT (until 9:30 p.m.): A 90-minute Sunday episode caps off the opening weekend.

Other Big Milestones

This season is special for many reasons:

  • Paramount says it will have "the most original hours of programming in 25 years" — that’s since Big Brother first aired in 2000.
  • Every Wednesday episode will be 90 minutes long.
  • A Big Brother: Unlocked show will air each Friday night all season.
  • Later this summer, Big Brother will become the first primetime series to reach 1,000 original episodes — a huge TV record!

Summary

Let’s recap the key points:

  • Big Brother Season 28 live feeds start July 10 at 9 p.m. ET on Paramount+ (paid), Pluto (free!), and YouTube (limited times).
  • The cast is revealed today at noon ET on YouTube in the first-ever "Broveal."
  • Premiere is July 9 at 8 p.m., then Unlocked July 10, then feeds, then Sunday episode.
  • This season has longer episodes and will hit 1,000 episodes later.
