1Imagine Michigan as a big pizza cut into 38 slices (called districts). Each slice picks one person to represent them in the State Senate — a group of lawmakers who help make rules for the whole state.
Before the big election in November, each party (Democrats and Republicans) holds a primary election to pick their best candidate. Think of it like tryouts for a sports team: only one player from each team gets to play in the championship.
This page shows the unofficial results from those tryouts held in August 2026.
